When I have first visited Australia I happened to land in Perth. I was walking around, amazed but the beautiful trees of enormous sizes. They were different from those growing around in Europe.

Perth is very far from the rest of Australian cities, divided by desert. It is rumored to be the most remote city on earth. However, it is the capital of Western Australia, so there’s a lot going on here. But you will need to fly in order to get to other Australian cities, because driving will take you dayyyyyys.

Real kangaroos may easily be spotted on Melbourne and Sydney golf course slopes, but in Perth I’ve bumped only into these ones.

The Kings Park and Botanic Garden of Perth spreads out on a huge territory. If I’m not mistaken it is one of the largest city parks in the world. There are many beautiful indigenous Australian trees and flowers in this park. Europeans, you should definitely check it out!

Gum trees along the Fraser Avenue at the entrance to the Kings Park and Botanic garden and Eucalyptus trees are aligned in neat avenues. That smell is pleasantly intoxicating! If only the cloths, the skin, the rooms, the wardrobes  – everything – could smell like that!

The eucalyptus is an egoistic tree, as it guzzles all the water from the ground, thus nothing else grows around these trees. But they say its leaves give back a lot of oxygen.

Several giant Morton Bay fig trees grow at the entrance to the Kings Botanic Garden, astonishingly spreading the branches and roots.

   

Fremantle is a relaxed town in Perth neighborhoods, reachable by a short train trip. There are regular ferries to the Rottnest Island from here.

Australian Coast is very beautiful, adding to the splendor of the Indian Ocean!
